What guides the care you receive
You are part of the decision
Findings are explained in plain language, and the options are laid out with their real trade-offs, including the option of doing nothing for now. Treatment is agreed with you, not handed to you.
The whole person, not just the symptom
Sleep, physical health, medication history, work, relationships and stress all shape mental health. A plan that ignores them tends not to hold.
Evidence, kept current
Teaching at Howard University and Wilkes University means staying close to current research. What is recommended to you reflects that, rather than habit.
No judgment, at any point
People arrive having delayed care for months or years, or having had a poor experience elsewhere. That is common, and it is met with respect rather than comment.
